The Emerging Global Data Economy – Implications and Options for the Transatlantic Relationship
This event launches the new report “The Emerging Global Data Economy – Implications and Options for the Transatlantic Relationship” from Cambrian, published by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung USA. The report highlights developments in the “Datasphere” and that thinking about data has evolved from a research and business domain to a (geo-) political and policy domain.
Our panel features the study’s authors and experts who will explore how data is becoming a production factor, similar to labor or energy, and increasingly drives value creation in the public and private sectors. Specifically, the panel will address the growth of the global datasphere, the trends in data pooling, curation, trade and access, as well as the changing imperatives in the data economy. The panel will also discuss the authors’ recommendations and the implications for business executives and policy makers on both sides of the Atlantic.
